Approximately 500 black-and-white photographs document artworks produced in Chicago under various federal programs: the Federal Art Project; the Index of American Design; the South Side [Chicago] Community Art Center; and the Illinois Craft Project. The collection includes images of easel paintings, sculptures, murals, decorative arts, and illustrations for The Index of American Design.
