Inscriptions
- On painting: Two seals in lower right corner: 1. Four characters - Examined and approved by Modest Studio (seal of Pang Lai-chen). 2. Six characters - Collected and approved by Lai Chen, a Genuine Work (seal of Pang Lai-chen). Three seals in lower left corner: 1. Three characters - Fu-fu Shih (seal of the painter). 2. Four characters - Pai-yang-shan-jen (seal of the painter). 3. Six characters - Family possession of Mei An Lin Shih (seal of a collector). At end of colophon on separate paper: "Written and signed by Ch'en Tao-fu, in my country house, on the 16th day of the 5th month in the year Wu Hsueh (A.D. 1538)." Under the signature are three seals: 1. Three characters - Fu-fu Shih. 2. Four characters - Pai-yang-shan-jen. 3. Four characters - Ch'en Shih Tao-fu. (All seals of the painter). At the lower right corner of the poems is a seal in four characters---Modest Studio's Luck in Ink. Two Seals follow the calligraphy in the lower left corner of the paper.
