- Inscription translation (on front border, lower left): Purchased by Ji Benli [for use at the] Wuhang miao [Taoist temple/shrine] in the quichao year of the Qianlong [emperor] [i.e., 1793]; (on front border, lower right): Purchased by Ji Benli [for use at] the Xuanzhen Guan [Taoist monastery] on an auspicious day of the peaches [third] month of quichao year of the Qianlong [emperor] [i.e., 1793].
