Felicia Mings is currently a curator at the Art Gallery of York University in Toronto. Prior to joining the AGYU, she spent seven years at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she most recently served as academic curator in the Research Center’s Academic Research and Engagement department. Highlights of her Art Institute tenure include leading the Andrew W. Mellon Summer Academy and Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship Program and co-curating the exhibitions The People Shall Govern! Medu Art Ensemble and the Anti-Apartheid Poster, 1979–1985 (2019) and Malangatana: Mozambique Modern (2020), the former with Antawan Byrd and the latter with Hendrik Folkerts and Constantine Petridis.
Felicia holds a master of arts in visual and critical studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a bachelor of arts from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College.
